Christmas Tablescape Blog Hop: Woodland Christmas

Hello friends.  Happy Thursday to you! I hope you are all having a fantastic week so far.

It is that time again friends!  Christmas is definitely in the air.  The season for gathering, feasting and for dressing our tables with our finest.  And I must admit, I live for setting a pretty table - glowing candles, over the top centerpieces, and sparkling settings are all main characters.  Setting a table is one of those rituals that truly makes me happy.  It is a time when I let my creativity run free.

Today, I am delighted to be joining 27 talented bloggers for a Christmas Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by the sweet and lovely Chloe of Celebrate & Decorate! The full line up will be at the bottom of my post so be sure and visit all of these fabulous bloggers who have created some truly stunning holiday tables.

So come on in! Grab a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy all the holiday tabletop splendor.

This magical time comes but once a year and calls for elegant dinnerware, festive ornaments, candlelight and plenty of style.

A twill plaid table runner and place mats featuring classic Christmas colors of red and green are the foundation and inspiration for my table Woodland Christmas Table.  My seasonal table setting begins with a brown woven plate charger.  The plate stack starts with a vibrant red dinner plate by Lenox in the Pleated Colors Pattern, topped with Lenox Holiday Nouveau Gold salad and butter plate dinnerware that is decorated with holly and festive ribbon.  Fresh greenery from my garden provide the perfect seasonal accent.

Complimentary stemware in the palest shade of green and classic crystal at each setting add dimension and sophistication - while candles add warmth and glow.

Keeping an eye on the details makes all the difference.  For a festive vibe, I always like to add a few decorative elements that compliment the setting such as ornaments, pine cones, reindeer figures - whatever comes to mind.  These are all things that make your table a little more fabulous!

I love mixing and matching my china.  It is an element of surprise that is fun and unexpected.

Well, I hope that my Woodland Christmas table has inspired you to create your own holiday masterpiece. Be sure to visit my fellow bloggers by clicking on the links below for more holiday table inspiration this week through Friday, December 8th.

Thank you for your visit and happy holidays.

Janet

  13. Love, love, love!!! That fresh greenery around the place settings and in the centerpiece makes such a statement on your table. That paired with the red elements (espec those red beads) adds a festive vibe and the Merry Christmas sign says it all. The reindeer are simply adorable and look so cute with their red/white checked bows standing next to the pretty little trees. The dishware is lovely and I agree that mixing patterns on the table adds so much interest. The plaid placemats are fantastic and something I'm on the look out for. I really enjoyed my stop here on the Blog Hop!
